Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By using waffled.co.uk (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by SaaSquatch Ltd.
2. The Service
waffled is an AI-powered text simplification tool. You paste verbose text, and the Service returns a shorter version. Quality of output depends on third-party AI providers and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always review output before using it.
3. Free tier and accounts
Unauthenticated users are entitled to 2 free de-waffles per 24-hour period. Usage is tracked via browser local storage. Attempts to circumvent this limit (e.g. clearing storage, using multiple browsers) are not prohibited but may be rate-limited at the IP level.
Registered users with credit balances are charged 1 credit per de-waffle. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
4. Credits and the “Lifetime” pack
Credits purchased through our pricing page do not expire. However:
The “Lifetime” pack refers to the lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the customer. If we discontinue, sell, or materially change the Service, unused credits become void. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any such shutdown via email and on-site notice, but no refund is owed. By purchasing the Lifetime pack you explicitly acknowledge this term.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes copyright
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
- Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission
- Bypass rate limits through automation or multiple accounts
6. AI output disclaimer
AI-generated text may contain errors, hallucinations, omissions, or inaccurate paraphrasing. The Service is provided “as is” with no warranty of correctness. You are responsible for reviewing output before using it in any professional, legal, medical, or financial context.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaaSquatch Ltd's total liability arising from your use of the Service is capped at the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £20, whichever is greater.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@waffled.co.uk.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
